Rimage AutoPrinter II Knowledge Base
The AutoPrinter is not responding or is not detected.
- Important! Try these solutions in the order they are presented.
If the printer is an Everest II or Everest III, be sure the mode switch is in position 2. Refer to
the mode switch information in the
Everest II Printer User Guide or Everest III Printer User
Guide.
If the printer is a Prism, when the printer is idle, the power light and activity light should flash.
If the lights do not flash, refer to the
Changing the Operation Mode document to learn how to
change the mode of the printer.
Reseat the cables.
1. Power off the AutoPrinter.
2. Disconnect all of the cables.
3. Connect all of the cables, ensuring that they are all secure.
4. Power on the AutoPrinter.
Update the firmware. To find the latest firmware, refer to the
Downloads tab on the Support
website. Navigate:
www.rimage.com > Support > Printers > AutoPrinter. Select the
Downloads tab. Download the latest firmware.
Run diagnostic test 3. Refer to the
AutoPrinter II Diagnostics document.
The Prism lights are flashing.
Tip: It is normal for the active light on the Prism printer to flash.
When the printer is idle, the active light should flash. If more than one light is flashing, refer to
the following steps:
Reseat the serial cables and external connections.
1. Power off the AutoPrinter.
2. Unplug all of the cables.
3. Plug in all of the cables, ensuring that they are all secure.
4. Power on the AutoPrinter.
Update the firmware. To find the latest firmware, refer to the
Downloads tab on the Support
website. Navigate:
www.rimage.com > Support > Printers > AutoPrinter. Select the
Downloads tab. Download the latest firmware.
Your AutoPrinter II requires the attention of an authorized Rimage Repair Technician.
Contact your Rimage reseller for repair and service options.
